“Stories Told By Firelight"
The first thing that one notices when they look upon Salim Qadir is probably a facial burn and milky eye. When one is able to look past that, it's a world of difference to the pale blue eyes in what would have once been a handsome face. It does not help one's attempt to not stare when the wolf-blooded stares them down in a way that feels uncomfortably intense as if they are focused on you and only you. Other scars peak out here and there - a slash across the side of their throat ugly and raised. Burns that cover both wrists peeking out from their cuffs. They tend to wear rather covering clothing to disguise them, but such things do not work perfectly. When they speak, it's with a soft spoken lull that feels like it's meant to calm one to sleep. They have a fondness for direct and overly detailed speech touched with a strange Quebecois accent could be considered charming if they didn't seem to drop the majority of social niceties along the way.

The Faithful (Anyone) - From all appearances, Salim is a practicing Muslim. He maintains his prayers, follow traditions, and routinely can be found at the somewhat smaller MAS Bronx Muslim Center. He participates in cross cultural dialogues and more than a small bit of philosophy discussion.
The Librarian (Uratha) - Rumor has it that when they came from Montreal, they brought a massive library with them. This modern day Giles is more than willing to do a bit of research in exchange for a favor down the line. For those in the know, they seem to be a ranking member of the House of the Third Ajar Portal.
The Professor (Education) - NYU's Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW) has gladly seen Professor Qadir join their ranks. After just two years of teaching, they have been fast-tracked to a tenured professor position. The rumor mill says the most outlandish things about how they managed it.
The Traceur (Anyone) - A free running enthusiast, Salim has been known to find athletic partners to run with them. Or maybe you've had the unfortunate circumstance where he's fallen hard onto your fire escape or been hit by your car for running where he probably shouldn't at that moment. He always seems a good sport about it.
The Balm (Anyone) - Salim has the presence of a clinical psychologist - they know what they're doing and they see entirely too much to be comfortable, but somehow talking to them makes it easier to get through the trauma of the day to day. It's spoken of quietly in Uratha society that the wolf-blooded has taken special care to learn to talk down a wolf on the edge of breaking.
The Quebecois (Canadians) - An immigrant to the United States, Salim originally comes from Montreal, Quebec. It lends to him seeking out other francophones in the US, and keeping in touch with others from the motherland.
The Scarred (Anyone) - It's hard to keep one's eyes from trailing to someone whose body tells a story. Salim doesn't make it better by not staring in turn. Curiosity killed the cat. They claim satisfaction brought it back if you dare risk it.

The worst rumor is to not speak at all.
- "An intensity that is easy to see translates well to passion. Salim is the kind to pay attention, notice what others haven't and provide wisdom where others may not wish to speak." - Maddie Wesson
- "...It is a testament to my force of will that I've resisted breaking into his library on a rainy day....with a blanket." - Zoe St. Clair
- "I wish we had more time to talk. I have so many more stories to share..." - Fatimeh Nezami
