Natasha Arroyo/Overheard
If one spends enough time at Elysium listening to the conversations of others, there's a good chance they might overhear some morsel about the Invictus Prince, though it's anyone's guess how much of it is true...
Natasha is the unquestioned and undisputed Primogen of New York's Unconquered, and a truly zealous keeper of the Conspiracy of Silence. Supposedly, she was sired by a Carthian but shortly thereafter separated from the Movement to join the First Estate. She is a quintessential Invictus Prince and while political detractors may hate to admit it, a Requiem under such a Tyrant can be quite cozy and secure.
- "She was very close with Vincent Darrows, you know, Mab's Seneschal? No, no, not like that, you reprobate... unless? Well, anyway, it was sort of this adoptive sire-childe relationship, because hers was gone. I don't even know the guy's name; nobody does. I don't know what the Prince's sire did to piss her off, but she erased the guy. Gone. But Lord First Estate Himself, Darrows, well: she gifted him with his own private airplane and a pilot just so that he could visit sometime. No one's ever gotten me an airplane. Or a pilot." — Overheard at Verboten.
- "Every single Invictus soldier was pledged to her even before she was Prince, before she was a Duchess, when she was the Councilor and Viscountess Natasha Arroyo. The rest of the Vickies are pretty fond of her, too, Townsend and Oliver in particular." — Overheard at a soiree hosted by Kevin Starkweather.
- "She's basically the second coming of the Camarilla. A Carthian Ghoul, though. I dunno what that's all about." — Overheard at The Iroquois Hotel.
The Ancient Egyptian origins of her Khaibit Bloodline are of great interest to her.
- "When they went to rescue Martin, she drowned Liberty Island in shadows, and not just shadows, okay? These were giant shadow snakes. Blinded the cult's ground crew, blinded their choppers up in the air, left the whole island covered in a wriggling mass of giant serpents made of pure darkness. Then her Masquerade squad made it all look like some chemical leak." — Overheard at Hamburg Ruins.
- "You know how she finds people? Dreams. I heard she learned to do it from the fae. No, shut up, really, that's what I heard." — Overheard at the bar at Raines Law Room.
- "I've seen her fall out of the darkness like a lightning bolt and rip a person right in half. I did, too see it." — Overheard at an art exhibition at The Parasol Gallery.
While the Prince has always maintained a large collection of influential and overlapping peer groups and social circles, she adheres to a strict and conservative Invictus sensibility on the subject of societal propriety. She's private and discreet to the point that she can come across as distant or aloof, though countless Kindred of the Court are quick to gush about how completely and utterly they were taken in by her wit, self-awareness, and charisma in smaller discussions or private conversations.
- "I heard she and the Sheriff went on a date once. Did you ever notice how she always had a lot of his bloodwine vintage on hand?" — Overheard at Verboten.
