In the early 60's Josie Miller was walking home from school when a pack of wild dogs in the area chased her down. To escape their attack, she fled to Fryer's Pond, swimming to the middle and eventually drowning. In the years since, dogs have gone missing, only to be found drowned in that same pond, chewed on as if a wild animal had gotten to them.
For those that can see ghosts, Josie sits in the water at dusk like a hungry crocodile, waiting for someone to come play with her. Or a dog to get too close to her banks.
Josie is covered in bite marks, her skin blue and bloated with the water she drowned in. Her teeth have warped over the years to look like canines, overly pronounced and exaggerated. In the woods behind her, the sounds of dogs yelping in fear and pain can be heard whenever she breaks the surface of the water. Should anyone dive into the pond, the skeletal remains of dogs, and even a few people are laying, covered in the silt of ages.
