"Papa Sam keeps me locked in the attic, too. I can’t get out but I look out the attic window and watch the world go by. I feel like an outsider I am on a different wave length than everybody else – programmed to kill." David Berkowitz
"Art is what you can get away with." Andy Warhol
I came out here to be famous. Instead, I ended up dead. My name is Christopher, but the band called me 'Fata'. I thought that was so clever. Thought it would get me laid more. Christopher was getting no play. It worked. The band worked. The gigs worked. And the horse worked. Maybe, worked a little too well. Life was a quick peak and deeper dive. White knuckles on stage became hot shots in the van, nodding out in a cab, waking up, driving.
I did more driving than I did playing. But I was loathe to give up the mask. I didn't wanna be a strung out cabbie. I wanted to be a strung out rock star. Then one night, I picked up the wrong fare.
The world is inches though, right? An average bass neck is 34 inches. The average needle, around 3. My rearview mirror is 5 inches wide.
It lets you see my eyes.
